Many Ismailis believe that Abū Bakr, ʿUmar, and ʿUthmān stole the right of succession from Hazrat Ali and were bad people—but this is not the case. They were among the best of people, praised by both the Prophet ﷺ and Hazrat Ali himself. Hazrat Ali also gave bayʿah (allegiance) to each of them during their rule.
