To Disbelieve In What Is Worshipped Besides Allah

Hadith
Ibn Umar reported the Prophet ﷺ said: “Islam is built upon five: worshipping Allah and disbelieving in whatever is worshipped besides Him, establishing the prescribed Salah, giving Zakat, performing the Hajj to the House (Ka’bah), and fasting the month of Ramadan.”
Sahih Al-Bukhari 8

Ponder This Hadith

Islam is built not only upon worshipping Allah, but upon disbelieving in whatever is worshipped besides Him. Compare this with the statement of Aga Khan III, in which he proudly boasts that his followers “pay me tribute and worship me.”

If the Aga Khans are boasting that their followers worship them, does that not stand in direct opposition to the very foundation of Islam as outlined in this Hadith?
